Uh-Suh Oseyo! "어서 오세요!"

One of the first greetings you may hear upon arriving in Korea is “Uh-Suh Oseyo.” In Korean, “Uh-Suh” carries the sense of “without hesitation” or “without delay,” while “Oseyo” is a warm invitation meaning “please come”. Together, this expression conveys much more than a simple welcome; it reveals the heartfelt longing to see dear guests as soon as possible.

With great joy and excitement, we are eagerly preparing many activities including opportunities to share with you in the field ministry. Seoul is known for its vibrant city skyline. Yet, the Han River flowing through the city and Namsan Mountain at its heart beautifully reflect our Creator’s works and capture the true beauty of Seoul. (Psalm 98:8) Many enjoyable and memorable activities await you here in this beautiful city.

During your visit, we hope you will enjoy “the choice yield each month” of seasonal foods, along with traditional Korean dishes prepared from “the choice things of the earth and what fills it.” (Deuteronomy 33:14-16) While sharing a meal and warm association together, we will surely “bubble over” and “shout joyfully” recalling “[Jehovah’s] abundant goodness.”—Psalm 145:7.

Like Lydia, who urged the brothers to come to her home without hesitation, we too warmly and eagerly invite you to “Uh-Suh” come to Korea!—Acts 16:15.

"Uh-Suh Oseyo!"

With warm anticipation,
Your brothers and sisters in Korea
